In the seventies, oil filled glass disks have been used together with projectors to generate changing patterns on the wall. The effect of non mixing oil types  and air bubbles passing through the oil produced very detailed and colourful images. The rotation of the disk, however, made this presentation a bit restless.

To have a similar effect, but static and with even more details I tried to use the cover glasses of slides, applying glass paint and several other ingredients. The paints and the other chemicals do not mix, but with additional heat applied separate the paint into fractions, that even show detailed patterns when projected to large scale. Look at the ‘
glass ’ section to check out some examples. Some of the images have been displayed on public events.

As it was a problem to distribute the images at all, I have then also used different paints to apply the same technique to paper. For special occasions I sometimes use the pictures for greeting cards. Check out the ‘
paper ’ examples.
